The third and last team has been invited to attend the KODE5 US Regional Finals being compLexity Gaming. Earlier KODE5 already invited x3o and Gravitas Gaming to attend the event taking place on March 13th 2009.
With Team EG US qualifying through the online qualifier and three invites, the KODE5 Regional Finals gathers the four best American teams fighting for the KODE5 Global Finals Spot. Only the first placed team will get the spot for the KODE5 Global Finals which also includes travel expenses and accommodation.
"The compLexity Gaming brand is one of the most established in the US Counter-Strike scene, and for good reason," said Thomas Kuhlenbach, KODE5 Revolutionary-At-Arms. "Having represented the US numerous times, they are a strong pick for the KODE5 USA Regional Finals."
"We’re very excited and grateful to be a part of KODE5 USA. KODE5 has been doing great things around the world of eSports and we will do our best to represent our nation in Moscow.," said Jason Lake, compLexity Gaming CEO.
The ESL Pro Series Season XIV is about to start on Monday, 16th February 2009 but Competo have announced a last change to their lineup. The team removed Christian "natu" Hennighausen in favor of Kim "vio" Schümann who is also making a comeback at Competo.
Actually the teams had to announce their final lineup to the ESL already to avoid getting penalty points and barred players. Still teams can change up to three times but new players aren't allowed to play for a certain amount of time.
Competo made use of that to remove Christian 'natu' Hennighausen saying he is now a free agent without any reason. A replacement was found with Kim 'vio' Schümann coming back to his old mates at Competo after leaving them in mid 2007. This also reunites three former SK Germany players competing for a finals spot now.
Still he is not allowed to play right away in the ESL Pro Series being barred for the first playday. You can check out our coverage of the ESL Pro Series Season XIV starting on Monday, 16th February 2009.
Competo roster:
Christian 'ChRRRRp' Porten
Markus 'crash' Esser
Christoph 'divine' Mohr
Tim 'mason' Kleemann
Kim 'vio' Schümann
Dimension4 have announced the departure of one of their players being Judicael "JED" Chaub. He decided to leave the team himself looking for a new challenge and is currently looking for a new team.
This leaves dimension4 with only four players after placing fourth at the ESL Pro Series Finals at the recent weekend losing to both, emuLate and eSport-eu. In an interview on Dimension4 Judicaél 'JED' Chaub says his motivation dropped since David 'Xp3' Garrido left the team and moved to Canada.
He continues to say he "wants to discover new adventures" as well as his doubts about the team. Right now he is looking for a new team as he wants to continue playing but needed a short break to get his motivation back.
